Established in 1914 the Prytania Theatre is over 105 years old. The Prytania Theatre is the oldest Single Screen- Movie House still operating in Louisiana and only Single Screen theater in New Orleans. The Prytania is well known for their community involvement by hosting community events, partnering with local businesses in New Orleans. The Prytania screens a mix of some of the best First Run films, classic films, kids films, and late night films with monthly screenings of Rocky Horror with their shadowcast the Well Hung Speakers. The Prytania Theatre has been an integral part of the New Orleans community for many years and we look forward to serving the community far into the future.
